Bye Montana

South Flathead Lake

We drove for 2 hours through cherry and apple orchards around the lake. We stopped midway for a picnic and to wade in the water. Adlai decided Thomas the train stickers were fun to put on the bottom of his feet and the kids tried to skip rocks.

No training wheels

Kaya really came into her own on the bikes. She was inspired by the neighbouring girls and even asked to have her training wheels removed for one run with Daddy.

Bobcat

Our walk over the hill to the park became an entertaining bobcat observation session. The bobcat was bringing rubber chips to complete the playground and Kaya and Adlai were entranced.

Smiling

Adlai and I cuddled and hung out in the lake while Kaya and her new friends laid out the beach towels and had a great time curling up under them.

Adlai put his hat on my head and decided to "climb the coconut tree," or "skin the cat" depending on your idiom.

We savoured fresh corn on the cob and rocked the evening away.
