Another successful camping trip at our favourite spot.

Lone buck in the evening

Casey spotted this lone buck. At first he was so still she thought he was fake. It was pretty amazing to watch him nibble at the vegetation before slowly wandering back into the brush.

Roller coaster

Thrill seekers

Adlai mustered his courage to ride the bouncing eggs.

Casey saved us from getting run over by our runaway chariot.

I took the kids on some tame rides while Daddy and Casey waited for the log ride.

The kids were so inspired by watching us on the log ride and the big roller coaster that they decided to brave some new rides...

Hail storm drama

Nothing like a pounding hail storm besetting us out of the blue to derail bed-time and a nice dinner with good friends. But it was very entertaining to watch Daddy and Mommy trying to throw a tarp over the car while getting pelted. A poor bird was even knocked out of the sky by a twonie sized piece of hail. In moments we were drenched to the bone. The bird recovered and must have been just stunned. Here are the photos of the crazy clouds.

Laughing out loud

The kids took advantage of the great weather to chill themselves in the sprinkler.

Dragon boat races

We arrived at Lake Minnewanka just in time to see the final heat of the dragon boat races.
