The kids, and Adlai in particular, were very impressed at the old time train station. We arrived at the same time an Amtrak was about ready to depart. They watched in fascination as the conductor actually called out, "all aboard." Then the wheels groaned into movement and a man ran along side, trying to follow the face of his loved one in the window for as long as possible.
