Monk seals and whales

 Walking on Ka'anapali beach...

Watching a Hawaiian Monk Seal come ashore to bask in the sun.

Playing on the banyan in Lahaina that takes up a full city block.
Whale watching and spotting a baby learning how to chin slap.

Humpback spray and the Lanai ferry.
Taking in the music on our sunset ride home.

The rugged coast

The resident honu taking a nap on in the cove.
Hawaiian red dirt along the rugged coast.

Wind so strong it knocked Adlai over and made Kaya's hair fly on its own accord.

The blowhole - the white specks are people venturing close. We stayed on the bluffs a respectable distance away.

Po'olenalena beach

Po'olenalena beach was beautiful and not crowded despite the weekend.
It also sported some rope swings that the kids and I really enjoyed.
We stopped for burgers and Adlai rode the escalators for half an hour. He adores escalators and elevators.
 Dad with the kids.
Sunset in the turtle cove.

Hibiscus and monarchs

I was having a wonderful time taking photos of hibiscus,
passing monarch butterflies, and the turtle cove.

The kids loved our pool and began to swim with their floaties.
