The deer wandered right next to the road and through our campsite. We all enjoyed the fresh cherries from the local orchards.

Flathead lake

We had as much fun as the kids at our motel waterslide in Whitefish and then made it to Flathead Lake. The campground was amazing and the kids loved the water.

Outside Glacier National Park

To escape the smoke from the forrest fires we made an unexpected change of plans for our camping trip and headed south to Montana. Apparently one cannot pull a trailer through Glacier National Park so we made the best of it by going around.

We took sandwiches to the zoo and happened to be eating them near the grizzlies. She woke up from her nap, sniffed the air, and jumped up to the bars to get a better whiff of our veggie meat. Mental note on what not to bring camping! Who said tofu never hurt anyone.

Happy Birthday Daddy

Grandma and the kids made and decorated a lovely cake for Daddy's birthday. They ate the sprinkles almost as fast as they put them on.
