Auntie Jess sent Kaya a beautifully soft handmade robe with matching eye cover. Kaya kept asking what the eye patch was for and how she could use it. Initially she guessed it was a slipper. The parrot on Kaya's shoulder is a favorite with the kids. Grandma Jan decided a few Christmases ago that Patrick should not be without a parrot in his life. This parrot sings, talks, dances, repeats phrases, likes to be pet and demands food. It is light and motion sensitive. I have inadvertently used it to frighten Patrick out of his skin when he walks into a darkened room and turns on a light only to be greeted with a loud "whatcha doing?"
